The 100MBit coupling modules are used for extension or repair of Cat 5 cables. The pair combinations 1, 2 and 3, 6 are the main data lines and both couplers connect these lines with the minimum signal loss.
The shielded version incorporates extensive shielding to protect well against electromagnetic stray fields. Both couplers are fitted with two RJ45 sockets with eight contacts connected 1:1.
